EDO MBM Flexible Circuits is one of Europe’s leading flexible and flex-rigid circuit manufacturers. Established over 40 years ago with a pedigree for designing and manufacturing high reliability flexible circuits. EDO MBM Flexible Circuits Division is a broad based supplier to the defence, data processing, telecommunications and electronic equipment markets. Within its dedicated 11,000 sq ft facility EDO MBM Flexible Circuits manufacture single/double sided and complex multi-layer circuits incorporating buried and blind vias, matched impedance and screened layers. EDO MBM offers a fast turnaround prototype facility along with the usual pre-production, low to high volume scheduled production capabilities. Whilst material selection is at the discretion of the customer, we always favour the selection of higher quality base materials for stability and reliability. Design Facilities Our design engineers are available to assist the customers in their design process. We have carried out design work on many key projects providing our customers with innovative solutions. We utilise modern CAD packages allowing easy transfer of data between our customers and ourselves. Due to the nature of the track screening process and the use of artworks, errors in connections are eliminated. Flexible circuits and flex-rigids allow complex and difficult electronic solutions to be realised along with high reliability and ease of assembly in sometimes confined areas. Due to the flexible circuit being of a flat narrow construction with high track density, weight and space savings over wiring methods can be considerable. The folding and twisting nature of the flexible circuit allows difficult packaging solutions to be resolved.
